Drs. Serena Brewer and Shawna Yates of the Southwest Montana Community Health Center were recently given the Master Preceptor award following nominations by the University of Washington School of Medicine.
The physicians were cited for their commitment to providing the highest quality clinical training to medical students. To be eligible for the award, the doctors must have precepted at least eight weeks for the past two years.
“We are so pleased that Dr. Yates and Dr. Brewer were recognized for their hard work and dedication to students and their medical education,” said Jennifer Malone, CEO.
The clinic has served as a host site for many students, from paraprofessionals to professional students, for several years.
