Kathleen Russell is Family Nurse Practitioner at Southwest Montana Community Health Center, treating patients at our Butte and Anaconda locations. Kathleen is interested in diabetic management, treatment and care, focusing on helping diabetic patients and their families to manage their disease more effectively. She also specializes in providing healthcare to the transgender community. Kathleen was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, and currently lives in Anaconda. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, graduating with honors in 1990, and earned her Master of Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner in 1996 at Montana State University. Kathleen is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority through the State of Montana Board of Nursing. She welcomes challenges and the opportunity for continual learning and improvement in treating individuals and families in our community.
