Kara Howard, FNP

Kara Howard is a Family Nurse Practitioner who has worked in community health centers since 2015. She enjoys providing evidence-based, compassionate care. In addition to caring for people of all ages, she also specializes in substance use disorders and led the development of Medication for Opioid Use Disorder and Contingency Management for stimulant use disorder programs at Southwest Montana Community Health Center. Kara is fluent in Spanish and has extensive experience with migrant health. She is also an adjunct instructor for the nursing department at Montana Tech. Outside of medicine, Kara enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors with her family, going hiking, camping, and cross-country skiing.
